Molly's Breakfast (Molly Bear Board Books)
Published in Hardcover by Annick Pr (March, 1997)
Average review score:

Adorable little book for babies & preschoolersI first received a few Molly Bear Board Books as a baby gift when my second was born and my first child was 2 years old. I received Molly's Breakfast book, but we lost it, so I ordered another one. My children are tickled about Molly's Breakfast. These books completely appeal to both of my children. The soft but colorful drawings, one word descriptions and the fact the book is small enough for little hands to hold are a big plus. Molly Bear has become a staple in my kids nightly readings. They are totally enamored by Molly the Bear. Reading Molly's Breakfast (and the other books in the series: Molly's clothes, toys & bath) they are relating daily rituals and objects to themselves. It's cool when all the reading you do as a parent finally shines through. I really believe that the love of these Molly Bear books (we read them every night)has helped my kids learn and relate to their own daily activities. My daughters and I highly recommend Molly's Breakfast as well as all of the Molly Bear Board Books.

Montana's Bob Marshall Country: The Bob Marshall, Scapegoat, Great Bear Wilderness Areas and Surrounding Wildlands
Published in Paperback by Farcountry Pr (June, 2003)
Average review score:

Montana's Bob Marshall CountryA great preview of "The Bob". Very good, concise information in a very readable format. I especially liked the sections on wildlife and history. Makes you want to go to Montana tomorrow and see the country, even if it is January and you hate snow. I can hardly wait for the summer and a visit to the wild country of "The Bob".

Moon Glowing
Published in Hardcover by Dutton Books (September, 2002)

Beautiful, poetic bed-time bookThis is a beautifully illustrated large-format book. The words are few, but they are great at lulling my very active toddler son toward sleep: he relaxes more and more as I show him the lush pages. Then at the end of the story, he asks me to read the [well-written] explanations of the animal's habits and preparation for wintertime. This book would make a wonderful gift for preschoolers.

Love this book! What a pity it's out of print! My daughter and I love to read this book together. It's simple and yet has a powerful message. Too bad it's out of print. I'm shocked to find that a used copy of this simple book is $[price]...I guess it's the effect of supply and demand.

MOONBEAR'S DREAM

Another Wonderful Frank Asch readable!I teach three year olds at a Day Care Center and Frank Asch is right up there with Eric Carle! My little ones sit enthralled as they listen and watch and then they LOVE discussing what happened! They LOVED they idea of wrecking the house yet some of them kept saying that "it isn't a dream"! The simplicity and honest childlike desires makes this another Frank Asch masterpiece! They still demand hearing HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOON every week! You can't go wrong with ANYTHING by Frank Asch!

Moonbear's FriendLovely, funny book. When our 15-month old son first the illustration of Moonbear eating honey, he stuck out his own tongue and laughed. He has since learned to "play the banjo" like Mooonbear. Asch's illustrations and colors are simple and appealing.

Morris and Boris
Published in Hardcover by Putnam Pub Group Juv (February, 1991)
Average review score:

A childhood favoriteThis book about a moose and a bear is a childhood favorite of mine and my sisters'. The relationship between Morris and Borris is very funny. Morris is very silly and Borris is very serious. Borris always gets very frustrated with Morris. However, they always seem to solve their differences and remain good friends in a very funny way. Their relationship reminds me alot of Ernie and Bert from Sesame Street.

Excellent humor for the early gradesHow my brother and I enjoyed the Morris and Boris books when we were children. We laughed uproariously. My husband also was a big fan of the series when he was a child. I am happy to see that at least one book of the series is in print.

Morris Tells Boris Mother Moose Stories and Rhymes
Published in School & Library Binding by Dodd Mead (August, 1979)
Average review score:

A Moose and a BearI read "Morris Tells Boris Mother Moose Stories and Rhymes" by Bernard Wiseman with my big brother. I liked that book very much. It's very funny. I liked the part where Morris the Moose tells Boris the Bear a story about four bears, putting Boris in the story, of course. The part that made me laugh was when Morris calls Boris a big fat bear in his story, and Boris shouts, "A WHAT???" Morris and Boris are an entertaining duo. I sure hope to have this book some day.
